Australian Mineral and Waterwell Drilling is committed to conducting its business in a manner that prevents injury or illness to workers, contractors, customers and other stakeholders. We will encourage the best practice in work health & safety management throughout our operations. Our overall aim is “Harm to Zero”, with the expectation that all persons shall come to no harm while in the workplace.

We believe that:

  • No business objective will take priority over health and safety;
  • All injuries and workplace illnesses are preventable;
  • No task is so important or urgent that it cannot be done safely; and
  • Without diminishing management’s obligations, the responsibility and accountability for safety and health rests with every individual.

To deliver on our commitment we will:

  • Ensure that health and safety management practices are incorporated in all aspects of our business operations;
  • Proactively develop a risk management approach to the identification and control of hazards, to eliminate, or if elimination is not possible, manage the risk to a level as low as is reasonably achievable;
  • Consult with and promote active participation of workers and contractors in the management of their own and others’ health and safety;
  • Provide resources to achieve a systematic approach to health and safety management to ensure continual performance improvement;
  • Comply with or exceed all relevant legislation and standards;
  • Set measurable targets and seek to continually improve our health and safety performance; and
  • Periodically review and maintain our WHS Policy and Procedures.

Environment

We aspire to Zero Harm and our current and ongoing objective is to prevent pollution and reduce the adverse impact on the environment as a result of our business activities.

At Australian Mineral and Waterwell Drilling, we believe the term “Environment” encompasses not only the physical environment in which we work, but includes people, their work and the things they value. Management is accountable for the Environmental performance of Australian Mineral and Waterwell Drilling and the implementation of this Policy.

To deliver on our commitment we will:

  • Incorporate environmental management systems as part of our critical business activities;
  • Encourage new ideas or ways of minimising our environmental impacts;
  • Strengthen our partnerships with stakeholders to achieve our objectives and obligations;
  • Strive to effectively manage resources, reduce waste and eliminate or minimise adverse environmental effects and risks that may be associated with our operations;
  • Meet and, where appropriate, exceed applicable environmental laws, statutory obligations and relevant voluntary codes of practice;
  • Monitor and set measurable targets to seek continual improvements to our environmental performance; and
  • Periodically review and maintain our Environmental Policy and Procedures
